Denale A. Powell
Over 20 years of professional marketing, graphic design, web design and sales & business development experience. Denale was born in Detroit, Michigan the youngest of three Children, parents Joe & Dorna Powell. He has an older brother and sister. He grew up in Kankakee, IL about (45 minutes south of Chicago). At an early age Denale excelled in several sports including wrestling, baseball, football, basketball and track. This earned him athletic scholarship for wrestling at SIU Edwardsville in 1997. He also earned an academic Jonetta Haley Scholarship as well. During his college tenure, Denale also became actively involved in the Student Government, as a Student Senator and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Iota PI Chapter. Where he had several positions including Chief and Editor of the Sphinx, Advertising chair and the Academic chair. Post graduation in 2001 with a B.A. in Graphic design, Digital arts, Illustration, Denale ascended into the work force. Working for several Fortune 500 companies including The MAY Company, Enterprise Rent-a-car, KSDK News Channel 5, just to name a few. He gained very valuable experience in the corporate world of marketing communications, management, and new progressive media platforms. Titles which included Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager, Business Development Producer, Account Executive and Internet Sales Manager. Denale has also been working with and mentoring individuals with Autism for 11 years.
